Thank you for visiting Mobis Georgia website and I am proud to introduce our company.
From the start of our plant in 2009 through the first half of 2013 we have continued to show great progress in our production capabilities. In February 2012, we celebrated our five hundred thousandth (500,000) vehicle production and this year, only 17 months later in July 2013, we celebrated our one millionth vehicle milestone. All these accomplishments just in four years! Our current production sales volume is a direct reflection of our brand’s quality, price, and outstanding customer service reputation. Areas that our team members helped bring to life.
2014 will be the first year of a new period in which our productivity, quality, delivery and cost levels need to be upgraded to the next level. To make this happen, I promise to improve these four major points: First, we will focus on our activities so that we can avoid rework or redundant work. Second, we will focus on maintaining our tools and equipment to save costs and reduce machine problems. Third, we will focus on improving our logistics operations. And fourth, we will improve our mindset. I believe that everyone here at Mobis Georgia is a member of our family, and so long as we stick together, we can overcome any challenges that come our way.

MOBIS Alabama, LLC’s Georgia Plant, located in West Point, Georgia is a Tier 1 supplier to Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, LLC (KMMG). MOBIS Georgia is a manufacturing facility that assembles the four major modules (Front Chassis, Rear Chassis, Cockpit, Front End) and the front and rear bumpers used on all vehicles produced by KMMG.
Using components from domestic and overseas suppliers, MOBIS Georgia uses state of the art technology to produce the finished products for KMMG in a just-in-time, just-in-sequence system. Using the cooperative effort of over 600 Team Members, MOBIS Georgia is able to provide parts for over 1,400 vehicles a day.
The Georgia Plant was established on May 17, 2007. It began its ground clearing in October of 2007, and in just 15 months, construction was completed. It then began to hire and train Team Members that would be the backbone of our production process. With 237 Team Members mass production began on November 16, 2009. MOBIS was running a 1 shift operation producing the parts for the Kia Sorento. Eleven months later, MOBIS Alabama\Georgia Plant had grown to 474 Team Members and launched its second shift to support production of a second vehicle, the Hyundai Santa Fe. Without pausing, MOBIS Alabama\Georgia Plant continued to grow its ranks and launch a 3rd shift, with 671 Team Members, to produce the parts for the new Kia Optima.
